Rajasthani Art and Craft Festival 2010 was inaugurated by hon’ble Shri Jagannath Pahadia, governor of Haryana on 18th Feb 2010 with Shri Sanjay Kumar, I.A.S. Finance Secretary, U.T. Chandigarh as the guest of honor.
The festival, this year has been organized at a much larger scale in association with NZCC and Udhyam Protsahan Sansthan, Jaipur and has received overwhelming response.
The performances by more than 200 artistes has set the tune of Rajasthani Folk. The traditional kalbelia, bhawai, Musk vadan, Chakri, Teran Tali, Ghoomar and Chari and party perfomrances of Langa, Manginar, Sufi singing have charmed the visitors to the festival.
For the shoppers, who always look forward to the traditional art, Rajasthani Art and Culture Festival is indeed a delight and truly a shopper’s paradise. Over 140 stalls showcasing various items like Bagru, Sanganeri, Lac bangles, Terracota, silver mounted antique look furniture, Kota doria, suits, sarees, Rajasthani paintings, Gemstones and many more have left the visitors spoilt for choice.
Foodies have a chance to experience authentic Rajasthani delicacies like Dal batti Churma, Rajasthani gatta, Kachoris, Jalebis and Dal ke pakode.
